AGROSTROJ Pelhřimov, a.s., currently the leading producer of agricultural machines in the Czech Republic, is a joint-stock company with neither state share, nor foreign capital. Employing more than 1400 people (89 % of them working in the production area) its 2011 turnover amounts to EUR 131,5 million (CZK 3.3 milliard).
The production programme consists of finished machines, tool production and co-operation with important multinational companies from the agricultural engineering area, producers of commercial vehicles, building machines and lift trucks. Supplies of assembly groups within the above-mentioned co-operation make 70 % of the production volume. Considering the fast globalization we forecast their further growth, whereas their specialization will be more individual and participation in common development of new products will be more intensive. The production quality is proven by the ISO 9001:2008 certificate as well as by the “A class supplier” classification carried out by foreign partner companies.
Difficult projects, strict customers’ requirements and expanding production were the reasons for thorough modernisation of the existing machinery and purchase of new progressive technologies. These new technologies are very friendly to environment. Therefore, Agrostroj is prepared for an ecological audit in advance. Moreover, the company has obtained a certificate in accordance with the European ISO standards, class 14 001:2004.
Development of the company is very intensive in these years. In 2005 a new assembly hall with eight 100-metre assembly lines was finished and in 2006 a production hall of 10,000 m2 designed for line flow production of parts for commercial vehicles was finished. In October 2006 a paint-shop of the Eisenmann company with capacity of over 2 million square meters was put into operation. The paint-shop consists of cataphoresis priming with huge painting containers, powder painting and wet painting.
Another significant advantage of Agrostroj is its qualified employees. 96 % of the employees finished a secondary school, college or university. This is a result of the systemic proactive human resources policy focused on active co-operation with local vocation and specialised schools. The company is also planning to build a new training centre which would offer both theoretical and work experience to students and new employees before they start to work at Agrostroj.
