What will your job be like?
As a toolmaker you will machine, repair, assemble and test the tools used to form material.
- Reading and understanding technical documentation
- Marking out using measuring and marking-out instruments
- Manual machining of materials by filing, grinding, drilling, bending, cutting, reinforcing and scraping
- Making templates and dies, chip machining, EDM machining, forming and sinking
Is this position for you?
- Secondary technical education
- Experience in a similar position
- Ability to read technical drawings
- At least a basic knowledge of the tools and materials used to repair production machines
- Experience with measuring instruments and tools
- Manual dexterity, responsibility
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to cover several trades
